General and Booking Questions
Are there different Expertise Levels at Fringe Hair Studio?
Our team consistently follows the latest trends and engages in ongoing hair education year-round. This guarantees that, no matter who you choose, you're in capable hands. Our master stylists generously share their expertise with newer team members, propelling them forward in their careers. It's where education meets talent. Given the diverse levels of expertise and knowledge, each stylist's prices are tailored accordingly.
How do I book my appointment on-line?
Visit our CONTACT PAGE and find the BOOK NOW button. Then follow the instructions to request your appointment. If that appointment time is unavailable, we will email you with other time options for you to choose.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?
To ensure that your get the date and time that you need, we recommend booking your next appointment before you leave our salon. Schedule your appointment at least a week or two in advance if you are a first time client and have specific days and times that work best for you. For our guests who are more flexible, we may be able to arrange same-day appointments.
What is Fringe Hair Studio's cancellation policy, and why do I need to have a credit card on file?
We understand that unexpected circumstances arise, and are happy to accommodate your needs. As a courtesy to our stylists and other guests, please call our salon if you need to reschedule your appointment. If you fail to call and cancel, or you do not show up at your appointment time, you could incur a charge of 50% of the service cost to the card on file.
What should I do if I know I am going to run late?
If I need more than one service how should I book the appointment?
Our friendly staff will be happy to accommodate all of your needs when you book an appointment at our salon. Just let your provider know that you would like multiple services.
What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
To ensure fairness and maintain a well-balanced schedule for both our stylists and clients, we kindly request that you cancel with at least a 24 hours notice. By adhering to these guidelines, you help us maintain a fair and balanced schedule for both our stylists and clients. If you do not show up for an appointment, we will require a deposit for your next service.
How can I prepare for my appointment?
If you are looking to completely change your look, or you are unsure and want to discuss all of your options, we recommend scheduling a consultation before your first appointment. During your consultation, your stylist will help you determine the best services for your hair type and texture, and you can set up a hair color appointment after the consultation. If there is a look that you really like, bring a few examples of it. Remember though that most images are filtered.
What payment methods do you accept?
Our POS system is equipped to accept all major credit cards. We can also accept cash. Please no personal checks.
Can I bring my child with me to the appointment?

While we adore the energy and curiosity of children, we kindly request that appointments be reserved for those seeking our adult-centric services. This ensures an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and indulgence for all our valued clients. How long will my appointment take?
Service times at our salon can vary based on factors like the type of service and the thickness of your hair. Generally, a standard haircut with a blow dry typically takes about 45 minutes. For coloring services, you can expect a minimum of 30 minutes, and if foil application is included, please allow an additional 15 minutes for the process.
What brands/products do you use?
At Fringe Hair Studio, you will find high end, top quality hair care products such as :amika, MoroccanOil, Color WOW. Also represented are Nutrafol, and T3 Tools. Even if you are not using any of these brands, our stylists will always give you the right advice for whatever you may be using at home (as long as it's not a 2 in 1 Shampoo/Conditioner).
What safety measures are in place regarding COVID-19?
Our stations are cleaned and sanitized between each and every guest. Every night the salon is professionally cleaned.
Which stylist should I see?
At Fringe Hair Studio, our stylists are not only highly experienced and educated but also exceptionally talented. Each stylist specializes in specific services, including Keratin treatments and hair extensions, with prices varying accordingly. To ensure the perfect match for your unique hair needs and budget, we recommend scheduling a consultation. This personalized approach guarantees you the expertise and service that best suits you.
Color, Highlights, and More
How do I know which hairstyle or color is right for me?
Choosing the right hair color involves considering factors such as your skin tone, eye color, and personal style. Our experienced stylists can provide expert guidance to help you find the perfect shade that complements your features and suits your preferences.
Whether you're aiming for a subtle change or a bold transformation, our team at Fringe Hair Studio is here to ensure you leave with a hair color that enhances your natural beauty and makes you feel confident.
How long will my highlights last?
Even though our highlights are usually done with permanent color, eventually they will grow out within 5-8 weeks. We recommend having your highlights touched up every 6 weeks.
What if I don't know my color formula?
All of our stylists are color experts, and can work with you on creating the right color formula for your hair. Our systems can also save the formula, so you will never have to worry about losing it. Our systems can also save past formulas so in the event you want to go back to a previous look, they are ready.
It's my first time getting color. What should I expect?
For your first-time hair coloring experience, expect a thorough consultation to determine your desired look. Together with your stylist, you'll choose the perfect color and application technique. During the process, you'll wear a protective cape, and the color will be applied and processed. After rinsing and washing, your stylist will style your hair, providing aftercare instructions for maintaining your newly colored locks.
Haircut, Styles, Extensions
Is it Haircut or Hair Cut?
Technically it is "Haircut."
If you were to say
"I am getting a hair cut", that would imply that only a single hair would be getting cut.
How often should I get a haircut?
The frequency of haircuts depends on various factors, including hair type, style, and personal preference. However, a general guideline is to get a haircut every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain the shape and health of your hair. Regular trims help prevent split ends, promote healthy growth, and keep your hairstyle looking fresh. If you have a specific style that requires precision, more frequent visits may be necessary. Ultimately, it's best to consult with your stylist at Fringe Hair Studio to determine the ideal haircut schedule based on your hair's unique needs, and your desired look.
What if I don’t know what haircut looks best on me?
Our highly educated stylists offer a thorough consultation to help give you the cut and style you are looking for. They will take into consideration your facial features, styling needs and daily routine to give you the best look for your lifestyle. Our stylists will be happy to assist you with choosing a style, and offer advice on how to maintain your hair after you leave our salon.
What if I want to donate my hair?
We do this all the time! If you would like to donate your hair to Locks of Love, make sure it is long enough to cut a 10-inch ponytail off. The ponytail needs to be placed in a Ziploc bag and sent in to Locks of Love. Please note that we do not send the hair in here at the salon. It is up to you to send the hair once it is cut.
How do I know what conditioning treatment I will need?
Our stylists are trained to customize your treatment to target your hairs needs. We offer top of the line salon products, and conditioning treatments from :amika and MoroccanOil to maintain the health and integrity of your hair. Ask your stylist if they haven’t already suggested getting one. These treatments will leave your hair feeling incredible!
How should I come before an updo/style appointment?
Come to your appointment with clean, blow-dried, straight hair. If you are planning for a big event such as your wedding day, we recommend scheduling a consultation. Our friendly staff will be happy to book you a consultation, and assist you with any questions before your appointment.
I am really interested in hair extensions. What is my first step?
If you are thinking about getting hair extensions, schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation. This will give your stylist the opportunity to go over any questions or concerns you may have, and determine what will work best. All of our hair extensions are customized for each of our guests, so we cannot quote prices over the phone.
