As a seasoned salon owner and hair stylist, I understand the importance of maintaining a smooth and respectful relationship between our guests and stylists. Even though we strive to provide exceptional service, we understand that sometimes life happens. In this blog post, we'll dive into the world of salon etiquette; what to expect when arriving to your appointment, what to do if you are running late for an appointment, and exploring the best practices for scheduling and adjusting appointments to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both our talented stylists and cherished guests!



Welcome to your appointment!!

The arrival!! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable salon experience, it's important to arrive for your appointment with a touch of punctuality and preparedness. Here's why:


Time is of the essence:

Arriving on time for your scheduled appointment allows us to provide you with the full attention and service you deserve. Arriving a few minutes early also gives you an opportunity to unwind, enjoy a beverage, some snacks (ahem... Dove chocolates), discuss any specifics, and to simple just settle into the salon environment.


Being prepared:

Before you step through our doors, take a moment to gather any references, inspiration images, or specific ideas you have in mind for your hairstyle. Clear communication about your desired look ensures that our stylists understand your vision and can bring it to life. Even if we are just doing "the usual", kick back, relax, and let the masters do their work.

Don't forget that at Fringe Hair Studio, "Your image is our passion."



Running Late... Uh Oh!

First thing's first... don't panic. Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances can cause delays, and we understand that things can happen beyond our control... traffic, sitter arrived late, meeting went long, etc. Ultimately we want you to have a safe arrival, so if you find yourself running behind for your appointment, here's what you can expect:


Communication is key:

If you anticipate that you might be running late, please notify us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate the delay and adjust our schedule accordingly. However, please keep in mind that accommodating late arrivals may affect the overall experience and service time. You can call or text the the salon at 727-456-8087. The phones are answered by the stylists, so if no one is available to answer due to being with another guest, just leave a voice message. For a quicker response, send a text (just please do not text and drive!)


Adaptability and flexibility:

In the event that you arrive late for your appointment, we will make every effort to accommodate you. However, please understand that if the delay is significant, we may need to reevaluate the services, or even reschedule part of your appointment to ensure that our stylists can provide the same level of attention and quality service to all our clients.


Respect for other clients:

To maintain fairness and uphold our commitment to timely service, it may be necessary to adjust the duration of your appointment if you arrive late. We appreciate your understanding in this matter, as it allows us to maintain a harmonious and efficient schedule for all our clients.



Making an Appointment:

When it comes to booking an appointment at Fringe Hair Studio, we're here to guide you through the process with these friendly suggestions:


Plan ahead for that perfect slot:

To secure your desired date and time, we recommend booking your appointment in advance, especially during busy periods like weekends or holidays. This way, we can ensure we allocate sufficient time and resources to give you the exceptional service you deserve. The best suggestion I have is to make sure you have your next appointment set before leaving the salon. If you have to call for an appointment, have your top 3 dates in mind. It is always good to have a plan A, B, and C.

Try to be specific:

When calling or using our online booking system, please provide us with as much detail as possible about the service you require. Whether it's a haircut, color treatment, or just a blow dry and style, this information helps us allocate the appropriate amount of time and resources to create your desired look.


Mention any special requests:

If you have any specific preferences or requests, such as a preferred stylist or specific products you'd like us to use, kindly inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure a personalized experience.


If you have questions about the online booking, please don't hesitate to call or text the salon at 727-456-8087. Also please understand that the salon does not have a dedicated desk associate, so if you decide to call, one of us will return your voice-message.

(Calling repeatedly will not speed up the process.)

Cancelling or Rescheduling an Appointment:

Life can sometimes throw unexpected curveballs, making it necessary to cancel or reschedule your appointment. At Fringe Hair Studio, we understand this and appreciate your cooperation in the following situations:

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. The more notice we have, the better chance we have of filling that time slot with another client who may be on our waiting list, eager for a pampering session.


Respect our policy:

To ensure fairness and maintain a well-balanced schedule for both our stylists and clients, we kindly request that you cancel with at least a 24 hours notice. By adhering to these guidelines, you help us maintain a fair and balanced schedule for both our stylists and clients. If you do not show up for an appointment, we will require a deposit for your next service.


Consideration is always appreciated:

We truly value the time and effort you invest in making an appointment with us. If you must cancel, kindly provide a genuine reason and avoid frequent last-minute cancellations whenever possible. Your consideration allows us to provide exceptional service not only to you but also to other clients eagerly awaiting their turn in our chairs.
