Fringe Associate/Co-Stylist Program
Fresh out of school? Perfect.
Our Associate/Co-Stylist Program is designed specifically for newly licensed cosmetologists eager to launch their careers with confidence and support.
This paid, structured program bridges the gap from cosmetology school to independent styling at Fringe. You'll work hands-on under the mentorship of our experienced stylists, starting with essential support tasks (shampooing, blow-drying, color prep, guest hospitality) and progressing to performing services on your own clients at introductory rates.
What you'll gain:

One-on-one mentorship and shadowing with senior stylists

In-depth training in our signature precision cutting, premium color techniques (including balayage, babylights, and custom formulations), styling, and guest consultations

Ongoing education, workshops, and skill assessments to track your progress

Guidance on building your book, client retention, social media representation, and upholding Fringe's elevated standards

A clear path to advancement: Upon meeting benchmarks (typically within 9–12 months, depending on your pace), transition to full Stylist with higher commission, full pricing, and your own established clientele
Compensation starts with a competitive hourly rate plus tips, shifting toward commission as you take on more services. It's more than training—it's an investment in your long-term success in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
